The following labels can, where relevant, be assigned to items within the theme:

• Organic: Items with the EU organic quality seal, where human welfare, animal welfare, the environment, and biodiversity are taken into account during production.
• Controlled cultivation: Items made with raw materials cultivated under strict supervision: they feature a quality seal or an established item attribute that restricts the use of, for instance, pesticides and/or synthetic fertilizers.
• Controlled origin: Items with a quality seal that sets requirements to prevent issues such as deforestation and overfishing.
• Environmentally conscious production: Items produced with consideration for the environment, as indicated by the quality seal they carry.

An item must carry one of the approved certifications in order to qualify for a label. The list of eligible certifications and sustainability marks can be found here.
