Sponsored reviews

Effective July 1st, it is no longer allowed to post a sponsored review on Bol.com. This policy tightening is being implemented in connection with the Digital Services Act (DSA) (Article 26).

What are sponsored reviews?

Sponsored reviews are reviews for which the reviewer has received some form of compensation. Examples include providing the product for free (temporarily), giving a discount, or providing a gift card.

Such reviews are seen as an unauthorized way to promote your own store and/or products. This is considered a policy violation under the category of self-promotion, which we monitor.
