How can I sign up for sponsored products?
  • You first log in via the Supplier Portal (link) and then click through to the 'advertising' tab. To use sponsored products, you need to agree on a budget with your direct contact at bol.com.
How can you tell if your ad is being shown?
  • Using the click "impressions" in the campaign manager, you can see if and how many times your ad has been shown. Click on campaigns, then select your campaign and click on impressions above the graph. Do you see no impressions here yet? Then your ads are not shown. You can then choose to increase your bids slightly.
When do you opt for an automatic campaign and when for a manual one? 
  • Our advice is always to start with the automatic options. Through automatic targeting, we make sure your articles are shown in the most relevant places. With the automatic bidding strategy, the work is done for you. Bids are set automatically to generate as many conversions as possible.
Can I launch a campaign in the future?
  • Yes, you can. When creating your campaign, you choose when to start and stop it. For this, you can also choose a date in the future.
How long will it take for my ads to be visible?
  • After about 30 minutes, changes to your campaigns become visible.
When can I view my results?
  • It takes about 30 minutes for your ads to become visible on bol.com. The results in the dashboard are refreshed hourly (i.e., not real-time) and are visible after approximately 60 minutes. There can therefore be a maximum of 1.5 hours between creating a campaign and seeing the first results (as an example: results of a campaign from the time block 20.00-21.00 will be visible around 21.30).
My dashboard shows no results, how come?
  • Once your campaign is live, you will see how it is doing through the dashboard or your reports. The results in the dashboard are refreshed hourly (i.e., not real-time) and are visible approximately after 60 minutes. What is a good campaign name?
  • Choose a name by which you recognize the campaign. For example, based on the brand (Samsung), the type (women's boots) or the purpose of the ad (Sinterklaas deals).
Can I pause a campaign?
  • You can stop or pause any active campaign in the campaign dashboard by adjusting its status. You also turn it back on at any time.
What can I do to get more campaign impressions?
  • If your ad is not showing often, it is usually due to the following: 1. your bid is too low. 2. there is a lot of competition within your product category. 3. the article is not popular and not much searched for. 4. your keywords are not relevant enough to your articles.
My campaign is not getting impressions?
  • If you create a manual and automatic campaign for the same article, the campaigns will compete. As a result, the automatic campaign will be delivered more, so your manual campaigns will not receive impressions. So pay close attention to this. What is the best thing to do? - It's best to make sure your bids are competitive and at least 10 percent above the average winning bid (you can see this when managing your campaign). - Make sure your product descriptions and titles are relevant to the category they are in.
What is a "per day budget" and what is a "total budget"?
  • When creating a campaign, you choose whether to set a daily budget or total budget. With the daily budget, your ads are shown every day until that day's budget runs out. With the total budget, your ads will be shown continuously until your total budget runs out.
What are impressions and click(frequency)?
  • Impressions are the display of an ad that has been on screen for more than one second, when the image is stationary (this can occur several times per page).
  • A click occurs when a customer clicks on your ad. Within your campaign dashboard, you can see how often your ads have been clicked.
  • Click frequency represents the ratio of the number of visitors who saw your ad to the number of people who actually clicked on the ad.
