FTP administration

On this page, you will find information on how to request FTP access, reset your password, whitelist IP addresses, and more.

FTP management

Important: For these steps the supplier portal admin role is required. On this page you will find instructions on how to request this role.

You can now perform various actions related to your FTP access via the supplier portal. These functionalities can be found under Account & Organisation administration in the FTP administration tab. With this module, you can:

  • Request an FTP account for automatically uploading the offerfeed
  • Whitelist IP addresses to connect to our FTP server
  • Reset the password for your FTP account
  • View your username and other server details

Request FTP access

If you do not have access to the FTP server, you can request it in the screen below by clicking on the ‘Request FTP access’ button. In the next screen, you can add your IP address to bol’s allow list. By default, bol blocks all incoming connections unless they are explicitly allowed for a supplier.

You can decide for yourself how many IP addresses you want to allow. For security reasons, however, we recommend limiting the number of addresses added and revoking unused addresses. If necessary, we support the addition of a range of IP addresses.

If you do not know your IP address, you can use external websites such as https://www.whatismyip.com. Make a note of the public IPv4 address.

Whitelisting IP addresses and resetting passwords

If you already have access to the FTP server, you can whitelist IP addresses yourself in the screen below. Please note that only public IPv4 addresses are permitted. Private, lookback, link-local, any-local, multicast and broadcast addresses will be rejected. Network blocks smaller than 24 bits will also be rejected.

If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by clicking on the ‘Reset password’ button.
