The purpose of using a slot reservation is to provide carriers with the ability to make a booking in advance for a specific time slot at a bol warehouse. For deliveries made with a slot booking, a dock will be allocated that is aligned with the capacity of the shipment. This way, carriers no longer have to wait in line and can check in at the reception.

Carrier role

To make Fastlane bookings, an account with the carrier role is required. This can be a carrier account, but the carrier role can also be assigned to a supplier account.

Carrier

To use the option to reserve a Fastlane slot as carrier, your company bust be created as an organization in the Supply Chain portal, and a user account must be linked to the organization.

Creating a carrier

To create your company as an organization in the Supply Chain portal, only the name of your company is required.

Creating a carrier account

To create an account that can be linked to your company, we need the following information:

• Name of the company
• Email address where the account should be created
• Name of the person or department, for example Jan Jansen or Logistics Department
• Purpose of the account

Email the above information to suppliermanagement@bol.com, and your account will be created.

Linking the carrier role to a supplier account

Suppliers can also request to have the carrierrole assigned. By requesting the carrier role as a supplier, you can utilize the option for Fastlane bookings from your supplier account.

Requesting the carrier role as a supplier

If you want to link the carrier role to an existing login, please send the following information to supplier management.

• Email address of the existing account

If a new login needs to be created to which the carrier should be assigned, please provide the following information to suppliermanagement@bol.com:

• Supplier ID or company name
• Email address where the account should be created
• Name of the person or department, for example Jan Jansen or Logistics Department
• Purpose of the account
