Brand & property rights
Items and their product information must meet certain guidelines in order to be sold as branded items. You can find these guidelines on this page. This is how we prevent misleading information from ending up in the product information together.
Brand rights
If you use a registered trademark without the permission of the trademark owner, this constitutes trademark infringement. It’s not only trademark infringement if the brand name is used for the same type of items, but also if the brand name is mentioned in the title.
For example, on our platform, it’s forbidden to:
- indicate in the title or product description ‘inspired by’, ‘our impression of’, ‘based on’, ‘similar to’ or similar references and then mention a brand name or branded item. For example:
- Stating in the title that a princess fancy-dress item is inspired by Disney’s Frozen.
- Refer to the name or scent of a branded perfume, while you aren’t selling that specific branded perfume.
- Show the branded item that’s the source of the inspiration in the images, such as:
- posting an image of the branded perfume that your perfume is inspired by.
