This surfaces directly following an attempt to connect. The connection is either refused immediately or times out after a certain amount of time.

Common causes:

  • IP address not on allow-list
  • Bad hostname or port
  • Firewall
  • Incompatible software

Verifying connection details 

The first step is to verify the connection details: 

  • Hostname: ftpes://supplier.unftp.bol.com
  • Authentication type: Explicit TLS
  • Username: <SupplierID_SupplierName>
  • Password: <password>
  • Bol FTP server IP: 79.170.100.0/22
  • Bol FTP server ports: 21 and 60000 to 602000

Note: Some FTP clients support using the url: ftpes://supplier.unftp.bol.com as shorthand to quickly configure protocol and encryption.
