While the columns containing stock information are not mandatory, at least one of them needs to be filled with information for products to become available to order. The preference here is that the columns are filled with the information that is suitable for your stock management.
In stock
This is a Y or N column. You can indicate if a product is in stock here with a Y, if the product is not in stock you can use an N.
Stock quantity
This column can be used to provide us with the maximum amount of a product that bol can order from you.
Combinations of stock information
Because the stock columns are not mandatory, they can be used in a combination of ways, certainly in combination with the columns On backorder, Quantity on backorder and Replenishment date.
You can tailor the information provided by bol in certain ways so that it best suits your stock management and what you want to sell to bol. Below are a few examples how a combination of information can be provided and the impact the information has on our order process.
Always in stock
- In stock: Y
- Quantity stock:
In this example the Quantity stock is left blank. The product is always in stock and bol can place orders for any amount of products.
In stock, with a maximum order amount
- In stock: Y
- Quantity stock: 100
In this example, both columns are filled. Bol can order a maximum of 100 items from this product.
Not in stock, on backorder
- In stock: N
- Quantity stock:
- On backorder: Y
- Quantity on backorder: 100
- Replenishment date: 20271010
In this example, there is currently no stock, however there are 100 products on backorder and those will be available for ordering on 10 November 2027. With this information, bol can place an order for a maximum of 100 products.
Not in stock
- In stock: N
- Quantity stock: leeg gelaten of 0
Not in stock can be used for products that are currently not in stock and there is no clear replenishment date.
It can also be used for new products that you already want to add to the offerfeed to start providing product information for.
