An item that demonstrably helps reduce waste compared to the conventional alternative and serves a useful function.

The following labels can, when relevant, be assigned to items within the theme:

• Reusable: Items where the total environmental impact of production, use, and disposal is more favourable than using the disposable variant.
• Helps reduce waste: An item that demonstrably helps reduce waste compared to the conventional alternative.
• Refill packaging: Items where substantially less packaging material per product unit is required during production compared to new packaging.

An item must carry one of the approved certifications in order to qualify for a label. The list of eligible certifications and sustainability marks can be found here.
