Labels
The following labels can be assigned to items within this theme:
- Generates solar energy: Items that generate solar energy, replacing energy from the power company, where any surplus can be supplied back to the electricity grid.
- Insulates: Items that reduce the demand for heat (and thus energy) because they have an insulating effect.
- Energy-efficient: Items that have EU energy label A or a certification mark that guarantees energy efficiency.
- Helps save energy: Items that encourage energy-saving behaviour by making users aware of their energy use.
Eligible labels and certifications
To qualify for a sustainability label, a product must carry at least one of the labels, certifications, or attributes that can be found here.
* The government has made energy labels mandatory for 16 categories of household appliances. Products are classified into an energy efficiency class based on their energy consumption. Depending on the product category, ratings range from F (lowest) to A (highest), or even A+++. The higher the rating, the more energy-efficient the product is.
For product groups where the largest environmental impact occurs during the use phase due to energy consumption, we automatically assign the sustainability label to the most energy-efficient products. As long as your product information has been provided correctly, your products will automatically be included. Therefore, you do not need to submit a request form for these products.
