Structure and status of the content

Content is structured into different sections: basic information, mandatory and optional.

Basic information

The basic information is the same for every product group:

  • EAN
  • Product group
  • Product name

This is information is required to create a new product. If something goes wrong when providing this information, the new product will not be created.

Mandatory and optional information

With the mandatory and optional content, the differences between product groups become visible.

Mandatory information

The mandatory information must be completed before a product can go live.

Within the mandatory information, a number of topics are always present, such as the product description and images.

The mandatory content also highlights the differences between product groups. For example, different information is required for a shoe than for a laptop.

The mandatory information always includes details that are legally required to be visible to customers. It also includes information that is required by bol.

Optional information

The optional information is not required to be completed, but we do recommend providing it. By filling in this information, your product will be easier to find on the website and you will give customers a better impression of the product.

Status of the product information

When you view an article in your supplier account, you can see the status of the product information for that item.

On the Mijn aanbod page, you can also use the Product information filter in the top left corner. This allows you, for example, to filter all items whose product information is offline and complete them directly.

There are three possible statuses:

  • Offline: The product is offline. Complete all mandatory product information to bring the item online
  • Online: The item is online and can be found
  • Complete: All product information for the item has been completed
